Reminiscing

During our high school years till our early twenties, my girlfriends and I were inseparable. Monday through Friday, we would ride the same school bus together, hang out during nutrition & lunch, then meet back up after school to ‘chill’ till we finally needed to get home to sleep. Then the next day would start and we’d do another repeat. Weekends, we would wake up and go over each other’s house and just hang out till it was time to go out! (We wouldn’t go out till after 9pm cause c’mon, that’s what the cool kids do, lol!) That was our everyday, all we had in our lives were each other. Now we’re all in our late twenties and a lot has changed. We don’t see each other everyday, each of us are busy with our jobs, our significant others, and just life overall. But time to time, we just get together and do the same thing we used to do, for old time sake, just hang out and chat, cause that’s what we do best.

Tuesday was one of those days. I told my friend Mimi that I was going over to her house after work since she called in sick. I got there a little past 5 and stayed over till 1AM! We talked about everything and nothing at the same time but our conversation never stopped. On my drive home, I realized how much I missed those days, the days we’d just lounge around, chat, and giggle over all the stupid things… ahh, life was so much simpler back then.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera with me and she probably would’ve tried to kill me if I even attempted to photograph her in her jammies when she was sick so here’s Mimi out of her jammies, stolen from her facebook! (Just cause a post is incomplete without a photo.)

Pinch me!

OH.MY.GAWD.
So on Friday morning, I was going through my google reader as usual with my cup of coffee (that I’m trying to quit by the way), and I stumbled upon this on the In the Now wedding blog.

The image she posted looked all too familiar and after a split second, I realized that the image was mine, litle ‘ole me! I couldn’t believe my eyes, called Mark immediately to tell him the news and couldn’t stop myself from giggling. As you can imagine, this totally made my day, my week, my month, my year!! Thank you Amanda for picking my image to feature on your blog, Megan for the amazing bouquet, and Sean for having the most perfect tattoo for this shot! (okay, getting off the mic now.)

Photog Shootout in Pasadena Part 2

Yes, this post is a total picture overload. As I said in my previous post, it was REALLY tough picking which image I should put up on the blog so I had to split it into 2 different post. Yeah I’m cheating but who cares right?! Hopefully as time goes on, I’ll learn to narrow it down further.

The thing I loved most about this shoot was that we had real couples with real chemistry. Although shooting professional models are nice, cause you know, they are good looking and crazy photogenic, but there’s just nothing like shooting a couple that get each other cause it really translates into great images. And yeah, the Romeo & Juliet theme wasn’t too shabby either. :)

Ceremony with Kacee & Erik

Romantic session with Ashley & Sean

Bridal session with Jenn King. Funny thing with her is that I first saw her on Amelia Lyon’s blog long time ago when they posted her wedding photos. At that time, I just fell in love with her handmade wedding dress so I bookmarked it. Then last week, I was talking to a Ashleigh and she mentioned that Jenn was going to model for the shootout so I hopped over to her blog only to realize that I knew her… Well, not know her but you get my drift.. Anyways, here she is with her one of a kind dress that I fell in love with at first sight.
